    Windy Bay is the site of the first pole raised in years honouring the 20th anniversary of the Gwaii Haanas Agreement to protect the natural and marine resources.       Sgang Gwaii was once a village site of people. Today, human occupation and use is evident and visible in the forms of midden sites, upright and fallen poles, house pits, and standing posts and beams of big houses. At the peak of SGang Gwaii occupation there were 20 big houses built just above the beach, along with memorial, frontal poles.   From these experts they learn introductory archeology, ethno-botany, and beach biology. They are able to visit sites of ecological and cultural importance like T’aanuu Llnagaay (Tanu), K’uuna Llnagaay (Skedans), SGang Gwaay (Anthony Island), Gandll K’in (Hotspring Island), and Hlk’yah GawGa (Windy Bay).
